Sara E. Raymond

I am a family law litigation attorney and coach practicing primarily in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

I have a BA from Smith College, and I graduated from Golden Gate School of Law in 2001. For most of my career, I have been a litigator. For the last sixteen years, my work has been focused on family law. I was drawn to family law because of the personal interactions it allows me to have with my clients. I am keenly aware that the people who come to me for assistance are in the process of making very difficult decisions about their lives, and I consider it a privilege to assist them.

Because I enjoy helping clients in court, I focus my practice on two areas-family law litigation, where I represent the client in court, and family law coaching, where the client represents herself in court with my guidance and counseling.

I am available to help you with your divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and property division needs. I have experience trying cases in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. While most cases settle before trial, I use my trial experience to help my clients to negotiate a fair and equitable settlement.

When I am not practicing law, I am very involved in my community. I enjoy volunteering at my children’s school, give my time to local organizations that support voter’s rights and voter education, advocate for Alzheimer’s research, and collaborate with other community members on local governance and community-building issues.
